I thoroughly enjoyed this book!  For some time, I have been avoiding iodine due to my autoimmune thyroid condition, however this book shed a whole new light on the use of iodine and it's importance in our diet.  I am no longer afraid of iodine and look forward to adding to my regimen to see if it works for me!  The book is concise and full of references for those who want to investigate it's validity.  I recommend this book to anyone who wants to increase their awareness of iodine.

Bought the book because I suspected my thyroid may be the cause of the many symptoms I read in your book. (also family HX )   I am usually an active person (walks, bike) but for 3+ months...slowing down considerably.  Dr. did a blood test including T3, T4, TSH and had MA call to say all is fine.."goodbye". Attitude is, he proved me wrong so go away.  Have seen  him 3 times in  3 years so, not a whiner.  As a retired RN, age 70, I won't give up but as I am on Medicare, I suspect the dr's  give up. (low return on the $$) Symptoms continue... I did not want to try anything on my own mentioned in your book while I do my best to seek dr. help.  I highly recommend your book.  Easy to understand (mostly), and gives me hope I will eventually find someone who does not sweep me under the rug.   (Mission Impossible?)  Thank you.  Karen Boughner

I bought this book because I wanted to know more about thyroid cancer for which I have been diagnosed  last May. I found this book very interesting and instructive. I wish I could meet a holistic doctor like Dr Brownstein. We miss holistic doctor here in Canada.

This is an up-to-date reference for my medical library. I am a doctor and a thyroid patient. There are a lot of out-of-date docs out there, even among specialists.

The first time I check my Iodine, it was too low. Ooops.

Book was quite informative and  --to this old health nut who's read dozens of health/medical books--  enjoyable to read.

But, one thing:  it would help if the book were also available on Kindle, so I could have access to the text --when others "borrow" [like my college-age grandson just did]--  the paper copy.

I read the book in the 1st two weeks I received it.  There is more to iodine then people realize.  People and doctors need to become more informed about iodine so that we can have optimal health!  I would recommend this book to everyone!
